Presentation Format

All teams will follow the same format in both competition rounds.

  • Each team will have a maximum of 12 minutes for their presentation (excluding Q&A).
  • Following the presentation, judges may ask questions.
  • The Q&A portion does not have a fixed time limit; however, judges will remain mindful that each team’s total session (presentation + Q&A) is capped at 20 minutes to ensure the schedule stays on track for the next team.
  • Not all team members are required to present. Team members who do not formally present may respond during the Q&A portion. Teams are responsible for ensuring that any member who answers questions is adequately prepared.
  • Presentation timing will be strictly enforced.

Round One: Preliminary Round

  • Teams will be randomly assigned to presentation rooms for Round 1. Each room will include:
    • 3 to 4 teams
    • A minimum of 3 judges
  • Organizers will attempt to limit the number of teams from the same university in a single room, though this cannot be guaranteed.
  • Each team will receive a scheduled presentation time slot (e.g., 10:30 AM, 10:55 AM, 11:20 AM). Teams are expected to arrive before their assigned time and may prepare in any location on campus (library, café, study areas, etc.) prior to presenting.
  • Teams are not required to remain in the presentation room before their scheduled time.
  • This structure allows teams to prepare independently and ensures that one team finishing early does not affect the next team’s presentation.
  • Each team will present in the format described above. Judges will evaluate teams using the competition’s established criteria.
  • The winning team from each room will advance to the Final Round.
  • Round 1 winners will be announced during the Final Round. Advancing teams will be provided a brief preparation period before their Final Round presentation.

Final Round

  • The Final Round will consist of the winning team from each Round 1 room.
  • Final Round presentations will follow the same format as the preliminary round.
  • Judges from all Round 1 rooms will form a combined panel. Finalists will compete for the competition’s top prizes.

Judging Format

Teams will be evaluated across multiple categories designed to assess both analytical rigor and presentation effectiveness. Judging categories include:

  • Investment thesis and idea quality
  • Research, analysis, and presentation materials
  • Valuation models

Valuation Models & Analysis Submission

All teams must submit their valuation models by:

Friday, February 13, 2026

Submissions will be evaluated prior to the competition by СÖíÊÓƵ finance faculty. One faculty member will be assigned to each Round 1 presentation room to ensure consistency in valuation review.

Faculty evaluation will focus on whether the model:

  • Functions at a basic level
  • Uses credible and verifiable data sources
  • Clearly identifies and documents key assumptions

Faculty will also evaluate the transparency and structure of assumptions—not the correctness of the assumptions themselves.

This pre-evaluation is the reason analytical materials are submitted in advance of the event.

Data Integrity

All submissions must be based on accurate, credible, and verifiable data. If faculty judges identify material data inconsistencies, misrepresentations, or unsupported information, the competition organizers reserve the right to determine a team’s eligibility for prize consideration.
